It’s once again open season for collective agreement negotiations. In this negotiation round, the focus is particularly on general salary increase – to improve purchasing power – and on improvements to develop well-being at work – for example improve remote work and the separation of work and free time.

Suomen Ekonomit Thesis Award is awarded for the first time this year. The Thesis Award 2024 will be given to societally significant theses and theses that reform working life. Submit your thesis by 31.12.2024!

We asked our members for their views on participating in political demonstrations. Opinions were divided, but the result was clear: a clear majority of respondents did not support participation. On this basis, the Board of Suomen Ekonomit decided that Suomen Ekonomit will not participate in political demonstrations.

Finland needs more experts from abroad. To that effect, Suomen Ekonomit has initiated cooperation with Inklusiiv and IWWOF and conducted a member survey among its international members on working in Finland and the union’s role.
